So, I've been out as trans at school for a year now. But I have a really large school, so obviously not everyone is going to know me or about my situation. Today is my school registration, and I'm nervous as hell... Last year was hard, but at least I was pre-t then, so I just had to bear getting misgendered. THIS year, I'm to the point where I'm never gendered incorrectly, and I've been on testosterone for long enough for people to give me weird looks when I show them my ID or debit card. I have absolutely no idea how this is going to go. The only time I've ever had to go by my legal name recently since I've been passing 100% of the time has been at the doctor's office, and they actually have experience with trans people. This is gonna be a bunch of moms and volunteers, for the most part. I'm just... really really scared of having to come out to like, 15 different people today, considering all the things you have to go do. Ugh. Any tips for being less nervous or explaining things to people in a way that doesn't draw too much attention from others?
