I'm glad dadt has gone away but transgender  people in the army like myself still have to remain hidden.  Please remind all of your friends who wrote letters to their representatives of over dadt the struggle isn't over yet.

I spent four years hiding it away. But unfortunaltey T is about gender and gender expression and not about sexual orientation like the LGB so... With so many people that can't grasp the concept of gender as much as they can understand sexual preference. In other words everyone seems to understand sex a lot better than gender so don't expect it to change anytime soon. Yes I know they are reviewing it and so on but I believe its more about politcal posturing than seriously considering it.
