Crazy dizziness after starting hormones?

I've been taking spiro for about 7 months and I have been doing estrodiol in patches for a little under 2 weeks. A few days ago I started getting crazy dizzy, like a constant feeling of vertigo, accompanied by headaches and nausea. I went to the doctor and got checked out, ct, EKG, and everything. They said I was physically fine, but the feeling is getting unbearable! Could this be unfortunate timing of some other medical incident? Or is my body reacting negatively to the hormones? Please shed some light on this, has anyone had a similar experience? Will it go away? @_@ thanks for the help!

Asking the Internet about dizziness/vertigo and estrogen suggests someone can experience such effects from high estrogen and also from low estrogen.

This website lists nausea as a side effect.  You should definitely talk to your doctor/endo/whoever is in charge of your hormones.  Your symptoms may be unrelated or a freak occurrence, but caution will need to be taken (slowing down dosage increases, waiting for you to you improve before trying again, etc).  You may also need a different delivery method (like an injection).  Since you are using patches, you have the ability to try slowing down on your own and seeing how your body responds.

Spiro can lower blood pressure but presumably they checked that when you went in?

Likely early nausea from the hormones.  That should pass.

If your blood pressure is lower compared to pre spiro, you may be more prone to ortho static hypotension where you get dizzy when changing from lying down to standing up.

We tend to forget that hormonal changes are not just 'appearance' we go through quite profound physiological changes, more drastic than most realise. Keep in touch with your medics, you should settle soon but if not , see the Doc.

Yes, they checked my blood pressure when I went in.

Yeah, that's what I figured, I just got kind of worried. I'll check back with my doctor if it doesn't calm down soon ;A;

One of my coworkers had serious vertigo for weeks and was freaked out. She is a 50 year old woman and was terrified that she had something going on in her brain. Well, none of the tests showed anything and the diagnosis they settled on was that some sort of virus must have acted on the part of her brain that helps with balance. What they told her was that it could take up to 6 months to clear up. So it wasn't anything serious, just completely miserable for her for 6 months. She is over it now, but still has bouts of vertigo. She has meds to take, but I think they make her sleepy as well. So perhaps your vertigo doesn't have to do with the hormones? Maybe an ear infection, even? I wish you the best!

I have to remind myself to drink water and lots of it.

I noticed I was dizzy when I first started hormones when I changed elevation. Now that only happens when I get out of bed and need water.
