A story about a NZ transgender politician and her wife

Here's a happy story I just found about a local MP and her second marriage to the same wife.

The position she's running for is about equivalent to a Senator (I think, I don't know a lot about the american political system). The election is next month and if she gets in she'll be the second openly transgender member of the NZ parliament.
