FINALLY seeing endo tomorrow

It's been a journey but I finally get in to my endo tomorrow. My therapist contacted him the first week of April and sent him her referral and records. After about a month, I called him and they said my records were never received.  I call my therapist, she jumped on her records dept. and they resend them. A few more weeks go by, I call the endo and STILL nothing. I call my therapist ...again and she jumps on the records dept. manger and then they call the endo's records dept. manager.  Come to find out my records were there for two months!!! They had not delivered them to the doctor. Finally after waiting two more months on their waiting list...I go tomorrow!

I hope the doc is more thorough than his records dept.lol.  Anyways, I am excited and a little nervous but glad to get this started. I'll let everyone know how it goes

I just hope he don't a** around like his staff did. They were supposed to send me an appt letter after all that. I called 'em up again and they sent it to the wrong address. They gave me my appt. date on they phone and said they'd resend the letter after I confirmed the address. Never got it. Guess that's WV for ya lol

I had a similar situation plus difficulty with transportation, but once it all got settled and I was finally able to see the Dr, he had no qualms about writing up my script

Just called the doctor and my appt still on for 1pm tomorrow. Figured I'd better make sure after all the screw ups

No.  The first 24 hours, my brain was a bit scrambled.  After that, it's been amazing - instantly happy, relaxed, feeling like I should have been feeling all along were it not for gender dysphoria.  Literally a "chill pill" (or a "chill patch", to be more accurate).

Stick with it, let things adjust and settle, and you'll almost certainly wonder how you ever survived without the proper hormones.

I had heard that there would be a lack of energy and feel tired all the time. You put some of my nervousness at ease. Before the last couple of years, I avoided doctors so I'm just a little nervous (and so excited I think I could bust) I haven't EVER been this happy let alone when I start!!!!

Congrats Melanie! That long of a wait can certainly be frustrating, something I think many of us can relate to--I had my HRT letter for 5 months before getting my first endo appointment.

If you're anything like I was you'll be popping those pills the second you get out to your car after picking the scrip up.
