When one of your coworkers asks: "Who's badge is that you're wearing??"

Me: What do you mean? That is my badge.

Coworker: Well I see your name there... but that doesn't look anything like you!

Me: Oh, um yeah. I guess I have changed a lot since then. No goatee, longer hair, lost some weight too.

That conversation just happened to me and I was thinking "Oh crap oh crap, I'm not ready to be 100% out yet."  I may have to come out to her privately. I'm still trying to maintain guy mode at work for a few more months. Perhaps it's good the girls haven't come in yet. That'd be the clincher for sure..

So please, share your experiences. When did you realize people might be on to you?

Everyone in the office are currently still rather oblivious, or if they have realised are being exceptionally polite by not telling it to my face.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

At the company Christmas party when all the waitress kept saying ms or madam. Thing was no one there other then my x knew I was in transition.

I had to sleep on the couch for a week because my x was sooooo peeved.

Oh well. I only came out to them 3 months later after I got fired for being hospitalized for mental break downs.

Well my x told my boss the 2nd time I was in.

I'm starting to get stares from people, and some people have switched to being extremely nice to me from the way they used to be. Good thing I'm telling my boss next Monday since I'm clearly running out of time.

Oh wow, that's a good one. My wife gets peeved at me all the time but I sleep on the couch anyway. It hurts my back less.

I have a weird experience I mean I'm pretty much come out to everyone, so just me feeling adventurous I guess I made a new name tag with my new name and wore it around but didn't change anything else xD .. and like no one noticed I so very disappointed but for the most part people treated me as girl either way regardless of the way I dressed kind of  weird but at the same time it just made me feel more myself.

When people started asking leading questions about whether or not I was ill, or what was up. :)

And when strangers directed to come looking for MaleName would wander into the office, look right at me, and ask if I knew where to find him...

I grew up in a small town and was pretty 'odd' right from the beginning. I had SRS and moved away at age 24 (1974). A couple of years later I was talking to my sister and found out that just about everyone in town had heard what happened to me so I asked the nature of the rumours. She said most people were saying "It was about time she figured it out!" and "That fits."

Apparently I wasn't fooling anyone LOL!
