Just a curious question any preop MTF who have or were born with hypospadias? Recently I have ran into  four they had low T levels and doctors insisted just some testosterone  would help their feelings. All of them happen to go through precocious puberty  only one is heterosexual happy mail The other three are questioning
According to what I found on the Internet it happens in approximately one and 150 births

Mine literally looks like a clitoris in a parka. It's fascinating, I had never heard of hypospadias and had to Google it.
correlation /= causation

It is a lot more common than people admit and it really falls under DSD guidelines as you did not get enough t in the uterus it is sad but our medical systems all over the world

My T levels were actually monstrously high pre-HRT, and although I started growing pubic hair around age 8 or 9 I developed slowly and had my first ejaculation and first facial hairs at a normal age.  My voice never deepened all the way so that although my singing voice is a low tenor-baritone, my speaking voice is still decidedly in a feminine range (one of my best attributes).

Instead of a neat little hole in the tip, I have sort of a wide 1/2" long slit from about where you'd expect the opening to be that continues all the way to just above the bottom edge of the corona, and I have to prop open that slit to be able to see the urethral opening which is way down low.

Looking around at photos, I definitely have Type I (glanular) hypospadia.

I hadn't really thought about that being related to my transsexuality before but now that you mention it, that's really interesting.

I hope this won't hurt my chances of getting surgery.

Rose city  Rose I do not think it will they just might have to take some extra skin to cover it  or stitch it up  happens more than many people want to admit or think

I have one that was repaired over two surgeries when i was in gradeschool.  I believe that i also had an early onset of puberty, but i am not sure if it is early enough to fall into the precocious puberty guidelines.  I assume that incomplete hormone action or hormone insensitivity caused my incomplete genital formation and I have often wondered if there was an incomplete hormonal action on my brain as well that lead to me being transsexual.  I looked into this a lot when i was younger, and remembered at the the time that someone with an intersex birth defect was excluded from GID diagnosis.  I never could find an explanation as to why.  Fascinating topic, thanks for posting!

As i grew older i also wondered if i began puberty early because they gave me hormones they thought i was lacking

Kylie a lot of intersects are females and they are mostly aligned with the radical feminist   do not want to share the spotlight etc. Hope this will spark debates and there has been some research but there is also the group of quote on quote normal men who have hypospadias or hapospadia where the opening is on the top or the side of the penis

Rose : I do know that for GRS they cut the urethra off at the female point (roughly level with the vaginal opening) and use a very small percentage of the glans to form a clitoris, so all the bit you're worried about will be discarded anyway. :) Some surgeons like to use some of the leftover urethral tissue as a nice finishing touch, but it's not strictly necessary and not all surgeons do it regardless - and who knows, you might have more than enough for that, too.

You're just making the decision to get surgery easier.  The more I look at that misshapen tip or feel the varicose vein in my left testicle, I think "I don't have to deal with this much longer."

Rose : I had surgery 2 years ago, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :) I was scared, too, but it worked out OK.

And yeah, I think this would be considered a pretty extreme solution for a man, but since you're not a man... it sounds like it *would* leave you with much more functional parts than you have now.
