I've always wanted to get my nipples pierced. I only really have a right nipple now, my left is one big scar. My body is a little messed up. Are there any good reasons not get my beautiful right nipple pierced?

Did you lose your left nipple/areola?  Can I ask what happened?

If it were me and I already lost one, I wouldn't be piercing the other one.

At 6 months nipples are still changing. My left one was kind of flat and it recently popped to match the right one.

IMO, it's too early. Things are still in flex up to a year, afaik.

It wouldn't hurt to ask your surgeon. I asked mine, and he said I could have them pierced no sooner than 3-4 months after surgery. So according to him you should be good to go, but a quick call to your own surgeon would probably be wise.

Thanks guys. My right nipple has been the same for months so i think its done settling. would piercing negatively effect it if there was still settling to be done? I think I'll ask my surgeon.

My left areola is nearly all scar, it's raised and easily irritated, I intend on seeing what can be done to fix it. The nipple is pretty much flush with the areola and is barely visible I have pictures of them both on my tumblr (link below) form a little while back.
