Our gender is something that most of us take for granted about ourselves.  Gender has been given such importance in our society - it's the first question that's asked when a baby is born, and it seems that just about every form we ever fill out in our lives asks us what our gender is.  But imagine if the gender you identified with didn't match your physical appearance.

I wish they'd corrected their usage. "Transgendered people" has become deprecated of late in favor of "transgender people".
