spironolactone might not be high enough and probably TMI

Madison (kiara jamie)

so this might be a TMI but i used to be on cypro when i first started my hrt and about 2 months in i completely stopped having anything come out when i would orgasm and now since i restarted hrt a year ago, now on spiro i noticed that i still have a full male type ejaculation, i am just wondering if i should be getting an appointment with my endo to check my T levels or if it is normal when taking spiro to still produce ejaculate?

I really cannot advise with regard erections or ejaculation as everyone's mileage does differ.
Personally I don't have either and don't really miss them.
If you have any concerns at all you should talk to your endo first up.

It took me 6 months on Androcur for me to notice that I had no ejaculate, but I masturbated once every 1-2 months so it might have happened sooner... but I'm pretty sure it didn't happen within 2-3 months. Just as an example that your mileage may vary. Although I do believe that by 2 months the amount of ejaculate was no more than a drop or two.

Since we're in TMI territory... some of it may depend on the size of the testes. Bigger means more capacity to produce and store semen. Now here's something I have no idea of, is the fluid/ semen/ ejaculate a response to testosterone levels? Healthy sperm presumably is, but semen volume? Maybe semen can be produced with low T.

Anyway, anything that concerns you should always be directed to your doctor.

Since You're in UK, I'll tell you a failure I had with certain spiro's.

I used to take spiro by a brand I forgot name, but the packaging was white with orange stripes, some time ago they gave me a different one, the packaging was blue red and white, the brand is actavis, and the dosage was the same, yet the new one must have been a bad batch since my tst went from 0.6 to 37.5!!

DEFINITELY check your tst

I've several times come across girls who didn't do so well on Spiro but did much better on Cypro as it seemed to have a stronger anti-androgenic effect. Also depends on doses, other medications/hormones taken and body metabolism/sensitivity.

I was on Spiro and Estrogen (via Pills) with a dash of Finasteride for 7 months. The amount that came out was less and less and up until then I would get a little bit come out the was very liquidly. (Maybe 1-2 mL at most). At seven months, my HRT doctor thought for T levels were too high and (still way below male range) and she increased my Finasteride by a a lot (500%) and also increased my estrogen by 50%. Also at my request switched to injections on the Estrogen. Now at 8 months, nothing comes out at all. The orgasms are amazing too :)

Finasteride does not reduce T, only DHT and there is one study showing that DHT levels in scalp were just as effectively reduced in doses 100x less which means an increase of 5,000% wouldn't significantly make a difference, according to that study. Sample size was 249.

I agree with that. The increase in Finasteride was more for my hair (which has improved) more than anything else. The increase in estrogen is what lowers T, not just the Spiro. (Estrogen also acts as a antiandrogen.) She did say that she has seen cases where an increase in Finasteride did lower T with the added Estrogen more so than just adding more estrogen.

I used to have a lot of (just gonna say it) cum until early this year when I got my levels down to female range. Now, only about a pea size comes out or it's dry.

I'm post-op and do get pretty wet when I orgasm. I am on very high levels of E and moderate levels of P.
