Serious questions regarding Metoidioplasty and T

I've been struggling with my gender since I was born. I've wanted to be a boy for most of my life, and within the last few years I've gotten more comfortable with my body and honestly really love (most) of it. The issue I'm having is, I'm struggling with this again, but this time all I want to change is what I have down there. I've looked at metoidioplasty, and I'm interested in having that done but without a scrotoplasty. The thing is, I'm concerned on the effects something like testosterone will have on my body. I do not want anything else to change about my body, I am most likely not getting top surgery, and have no desire to grow hair in other places or change anything else about my physical appearance.

Welcome. :)

I know that there is a clitoral release operation, which essentially separates that part from the body (so somewhat like a meta but without the scrotoplasty) - though generally, that could be really hard to do without T. Only because it would be unusual for someone female born to have that large of a "member" without the influence of hormones. Perhaps you could email surgeons who do the meta operation and ask for  some information? They may be able to give you a better idea of what you have to work with.

Normally you would be on T for 1-2 years before they would do a release. There might be some exceptions for someone who has some natural growth (for instance natural high T levels). But they need something to work with. They can release it without growth but I don't know that it will look like anything. Some surgeons are more sticklers than others.

Maybe T gel applied directly to the area?

Well DHT can work. YOu could PM me if you want.

DHT can assist in no-hormone induced growth. I can't remember exactly the forum I was on, but this transman (prior to transitioning) used DHT and saw some considerable growth before identifying as trans and eventually starting t.

That may be your best bet because aside from the prerequisite most surgeons have of being on t for at least 1-2 years (it varies surgeon to surgeon), there is also a RLE (real life experience) for some as living as the gender of your gender identity.

DHT on your junk does raise testosterone levels so be aware other changes may occur, not just with your junk.  I used DHT on advice of my lower surgeon prior to surgery and my T levels shot through the roof to the shock of my endo.
