Is anyone here on chat? Would love to talk to y'all, but this seems either empty or just far too complicated. Surely there is a better chat site?

All my love,

I've wondered that too. I don't think it would be better than the forum for sharing information, since chats are more temporary in nature and because you will only get replies to questions from those online at the moment. But it would be nice to socialize with others here in a more real time environment. Do any of the long- time members here know of a formal or informal chat gathering time? Night of the week? If there isn't one at the moment, was there one in the past?

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

mmm. I didn't know there was a chat and it seems I'm not alone in that. Maybe that's a large factor too?
Naomi is still wondering if she is a Cylon

The chat tends to be pretty active most of the day, if you are patient (post something and wait a few minutes, see if someone replies of logs on) during a lull.

It is busiest during late afternoon through prime time, for North America... on week nights, people tend to go to bed earlier than on weekends. Hope that helps.

Ya seems a lot of people don't know it exists. I tried it, can't get it to work. Asked a few others about it, they said can't understand it either lol. I do talk A LOT, pm A LOT but don't like that it takes forever to type send wait for reply etc. I usually just like giving people my skype, I know how to use it, can do a lot with it, get replies quicker, feels more real, like real conversation etc. I would definitely try it tho if it worked for me.

It just takes an old school irc client.

Type /join #chat once you log into susans.org on the client.

the chat works best with an irc client, on phone or pc. there are also a whole lot of different web clients that work better than the integrated one, like mibbt, kiwi irc, etc. on computer, i use hexchat, though at work i need to use web client because of firewall. on android phone, i use andchat. you can set up autojoin on most clients too.

i don't really like the chat as much as the forums, but some people like the immediate responses better.
