Hi I'm biologically male and I'm transitioning to androgynous. I live in Oklahoma City currently, and the worst I have to deal with is stares, surprisingly. Not the stonings I was expecting (sarcasm.) My real problem though is finding friends and partners (I like g girls) here. There isn't really much of a GTLB scene here, unfortunately. My company has a few openings in Seal Beach, CA though that I qualify for. Anyone here live in California? Is being trans much easier there than other places, like one would think?

Seal Beach is just outside LA and the whole metro area has a vibrant LGBTQ scene.  You'll do well there.  :)  I live in Seattle, but I look forward to seeing my friends in So. CA whenever I can.  Most of the west coast is pretty trans friendly, so if it were me, I'd take the job and run!  ;)

Lots of resources for you in LA, trans positive laws, acceptance, and warm sunny weather instead of what you get in OKC (I used to work there). The traffic is, well, LA traffic and it's much worse than the I35/I40/I44 traffic you are probably used to.  I live in a suburb of LA and I love living here :)

Valley girl here...

It's a good place to be queer.

Yeah, you're right. I sure miss it though. "The cops the cars, the topless bars. Never saw a woman so alone." Maybe I should move back. :-\

The only bad thing about California is that it's expensive but you do get paid pretty well in professional jobs. That and some of the nanny laws. I always wanted to live there.

Yeah they should. ;D And yeah, I should too. But at the moment, well, you know how life is.

Just remembered there is a very big and active trans community in OKC, but it may be a bit "underground". PM me for details.
