You girls here are a gift of nature and God.

This Web site is a blessing to the world.  I am not particularly religious, but I will use the word "blessing" to describe this.

I have various BFF's from here now that I regularly chat with on FB and Skype.  I feel like my BFF's are for the rest of my life.

One BFF from here confided to me that she would now be DEAD if it hadn't been for the support of you gals (and guys, and gender neutrals) here.

She told me that it was ONLY the gals here that saved her from ending it all, permanently.  But now her life is in emotional bliss, she is balanced and peaceful after some time on HRT, and will have SRS soon.

Without Susan Larson's life-saving Website, and you gals' life-saving emotional support, this BFF of mine from here, would never have lived to be a BFF of mine, since I joined after here crisis was resolved thanks to YOU sweeties here.

Hugs and kisses, you great gals, and Susan Larson, deserve the thanks of hundreds of people, who are still here today to celebrate the wonders of life.

Johanna.

This is an amazing place.  It is not perfect but we are not perfect.  We could forgive a little more.  But it is amazing and I will join your friend in saying "It saved my life".  People who are hurting reaching out and helping others who are hurting and together, all are getting better.  Very strange and very wonderful.

Hugs,

Jen
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I'm glad your friend is still around to experience the better sides of life, it's always nice to hear things like that. :) Support sites are amazing but this site in particular has an awesome community. Before I signed up I would lurk on many other transgender support sites but this one stuck out to me for some reason and I'm glad I chose to join in. I'd definitely say this site has helped me tremendously and still does and I love being able to contribute as much as I can. To know that you could potentially be saving someone's life whether you know or not is what motivates me to keep posting most of the time. I'll be honest, the first time I signed up and made a thread I tried to delete my account and don't think I was going to come back but thankfully the mods stopped me from doing so and I'm glad they did. ^.^

I agree! And while I personally would still be alive if I hadn't found Susan's, I am grateful to have found it.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

I agree. This site saves lives.

A while ago Nero (recently deceased administrator here) talked to me about how he hadn't accomplished much in his life. I pointed out that he was literally saving lives every day by keeping this site operating.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I definitely agree. It was someone I met through Susan's who finally helped me see that I needed to get out of an extremely toxic relationship. One that was responsible for multiple suicide attempts. So it's almost certain I'd be dead right now if not for this site, and I've also managed to talk several people out of suicide since I joined. I can attest that many, many lives are saved here.

I just wanted to add: If there is anyone viewing this thread who needs a friend or someone to talk to about any issue, big or small, that is weighing on their mind, my inbox is always open. Just send a PM my way. :)

I think now that if I hadn't found this site (and found the courage to post something) that I would have taken my own life in the next 72 hours or so. Susan's very much saved my life, and I am eternally grateful for it. :D

There is not a doubt in my mind that the people here save lives every day. Big damn heroes, all of you.  :icon_bunch:

I'd rather see the world from another angle
We are everyday angels
Be careful with me 'cause I'd like to stay that way

Suzi, I came here too recently to know Nero, but that was a great and true things you said to him, about saving lives here.

This site and my family here are a very welcome harbor in the storm of being trans. While there are many transgender support sites and most of them are great, but none of them have the loving sense of family and sisterhood, and brotherhood found here. And it's not just a website that creates that feeling of belonging, the people on it do. So take a moment everyone and pat yourself on the back, for you are all very special human beings, and we are family............ sorry guys, shedding a few tears of joy here. I thank everyone here for just being you. And this girl is proud, real proud to be part of this great community. :icon_walk: :icon_wave:
