Miranda Catherine

I just got this in the mail yesterday, and I'll admit it, I'm looking for a Happy Birthday, Mira. And congratulations! I'm sooo happy my name and gender are finally official. I've waited my entire life for this, and next is my passport, then schedule surgery, then Thailand! Hugs, Miranda Catherine Thomson, Female!
These three years have been the best of my entire life
ones I've been able to live without lying
and the only time I've had since the age of twelve
I haven't constantly thought about dying

Grats! It feels so good when you get the 'proof' that you are who you say you are.

Congrats Miranda!  I just had my day in court yesterday and got my name changed. Have to wait to Thursday to get the driver's license done. I can't wait :)

Oh and Happy Birthday too! I have made yesterday (with the name change) my new birthday too (I'm also 60 so know how you feel).

Congrats!  It feels great, doesn't it?

One thing though, you might want to reconsider posting your home address here.  There's just too many potential creeps and stalkers around and you need to be safe.

I agree about hiding your address.

That is great. You should be so proud of yourself. I've followed your posts some & it's also great that you are in love with your man.

"Congrats, Cris! It does far more for you than legitimizes you to the state and whoever reads it. I pulled it out for a few days a few times a day, just to gaze at it. But it's one of the most  objective recognizable pieces of your new life, and I'm still blown away by it. To see my name next to my face and below "California" and above the other incredibly important and wonderful change,

Thank you, FrancisAnn! My honey is really happy about it too, and can't wait till I get my surgery. I plan on enjoying my new genitalia alone and with him only. I deserve a good man, or mate, we all do, and Thank God, I have him. I'm so in love with him that words aren't close to being adequate.

Thank you, Kate, that's very sweet, and compliments are always wonderful and gratefully accepted by THIS sixty years old young woman!

To everyone else, thank you, thank you, thank you. For those of you who intend to go all the way, or at least to the name change. If you have nothing holding you back now, I'd recommend that you do it as soon as you feasibly can. The self worth and self confidence needle are redlined for me for now and will be higher than before forever. It really has brought even more confidence to me and I've become more and more confident with time and my changes over the last three years. I'll have lived for three years on September 7th. I began living honestly, as the girl/woman I've always been, on September 7th, 2011.......by far, not just the best years, but the only good ones since I was a child. Hugs to each and every one of you beautiful ladies!!!!! Miranda Catherine Thomson

Thanks Miranda, that's exactly how I feel. I walked out of the DMV with the biggest sh*t eating grin on my face that wouldn't stop. I also take it out and look at it a couple of times a day. I also took a pic of it with my phone and dropped it on my desktop so I don't even have to walk across the room to get my purse, I can just double-click and view it :)  It's amazing how much such a little thing gives me so much pleasure. Keep looking and smiling at yours!
