Last week I had blood drawn as preliminary for starting HRT and also to look at my hormone levels in regard to possibly having Klinefelter's. I got the results today at the visit with the NP.

My T levels are normal but my FSH and LH are high. Really high. This seems indicative of Primary Hypogonadism, the most common cause of this is Klinefelter's. I need karyotype testing for confirmation but things in my morphology seem to bear out a diagnosis.

The really good news is that I was given the nod to start HRT. She wrote me for Spiro and estrogen patches. I'll pick them up Friday and start HRT this weekend!! **happy dance**

I live in Anchorage, Alaska. Not much here in the way of tanning, humidity, or swimming (unless it's inside).  ;D

The little dot patches are great, they last for 3.5 days, stick like glue, great little patches.

Oh, good for you on starting HRT, "happy dance" GF.

Drink lots of water for the spiro.

Here's another vote for the Vivelle patches - they are 2/week but they actually stick even in the shower - the 1/week generic (Mylan) were huge and never wanted to stick and if they did manage to stay one for more than 3 days the glue would give me a rash - i'm glad I found the vivelle - they are GREAT!!!!!

be well
