I'm not a sports fan in the least.  Guy hobbies? Cars, astronomy, target shooting (clay and paper), outdoors but I don't hunt or fish.

Astronomy is a guy hobby?

I am building and repairing electronic circuits and programming. And I like physics.
I know that they are not inherently a male hobbies, but I don't know personally any girl interested in those :(. And I wonder why ... why is it so unpopular for women?

the society and culture I grew up on regarded pretty much all science and tech hobbies as "guy" hobbies. Now it is different of course and I teach my daughters all of the STEM stuff I can.

I've always really liked video games. It was always because I envied, or had a crush on some girl character in one game or another. Also, cute/fluffy things were always a plus.

I dont know if it's really a hobby or not but I like watching wrestling. Not for the beatings or anything but i really enjoy the story arcs. Oh and some of those men aren't to shabby on the eyes either  ;)

Mine are video games, mudding, hunting and fishing, and anything involving guns. I especially love it when the big macho guys are at a range and claim that they are a better shot, just to get embarrassed by every woman out there at that time.

But I will say its kinda interesting that the last group of people that you think would accept you, in my case the shooting community, is usually the quickest ones to do so.
I need a hero to save me now, i need a hero to save my life, a hero will save me just in time!!

Hobbies should simply be hobbies. When I was/am with the guys, it would always turn into some sort of competition. When going out playing pool or video games, I take the "girly" approach by simply wanting to have a good time and not be obsessed over winning.

It is also good to see a number of outdoorswomen here. For me, it is having an enjoyable experience and to get away from people. I do enjoy this time with family and friends.

This is a big issue with society as a whole.  Elementary aged girls are just as likely as boys to say that they enjoy math and science, but by college it's down to something like 30%. And even fewer actually go into a technical or math-related field.  It really has to do with female socialization steering them towards the humanities...and looking pretty.

I have to admit that I have gotten into wrestling on occasion, and it really was the story lines that I liked much more than the actual wrestling.  The acting is terrible, and the writing is pretty bad, but I was always interested in that side of it.

Am I the only one that doesn't like guy hobbies? I never work on cars. I hate getting dirty. I like guns but for self defense, sometimes target shoot and the only time I killed a deer, I cried. I don't mind hunting but I just really can't. If really hungry yeah probably but I would still cry. Building things, what a freakin' fail. Even games like physical football or baseball or softball, I suck at. Video games I just can't ever do any good at them either. Am I the only weird one that is definitely a failure as a guy or anything guy like hobbies?

As for all the girly things, I enjoy way more than anything associated with guys, except guys themselves. :embarrassed:

I'm heavily into computers and computer gaming, my 21 foot bass boat, and Ram 2500 4x4 truck. I also love to fish and play water sports. Other than these few things I'm as girly as they come. I've never been one to follow society's stereotypes. I do the things that I enjoy, and make me happy. It doesn't matter to me whether or not a girl is "supposed" to be doing them. Besides, I kind of love the looks 'lil ole me' gets when climbing down out of my big black Ram truck, or making an 80 mph pass across the water -priceless! :icon_biggrin: :eusa_dance:

Hmm. I love video games, so there's one. In terms of sports, I. Absolutely. Suck. lol The only sport that I'm good at is bowling... And a lot of people don't even consider it a sport, when it IS! Bowling is male dominated, so it is more of a male sport, yes (although I guess I'm contributing to that, since I still look like a boy and am registered as a boy everywhere... xD). Other than those two things, basically everything I like to do is considered more of a girly thing, tho. I dunno if this next part is a little odd, since I'm entering teenage years, but I love playing with dolls <3

Also, is it odd that I'm very competitive, or is it fine since I was raised to be/raised around boys...? I know there are competitive girls, but again, usually male dominated. :p

Your not the only one whom doesn't have hobbies. I have things I enjoy doing but nothing I'd invest a substantial amount of time in. Sure I game watch anime and read/write stories but I only invest time if I have nothing much else to do. I dontbkeep up on the latest thing either. I find spending time with those you care about to be more entertaining than anything we may be doing.

The only "guy things" im really into are video games and military history. But there are plenty of gamer girls, and iv recently strarted preferring to play as female characters. Then ofcourse with military history there's not even that much guys into it. I never understood why i always drooled over men in bronze and steel armour, guess i thought it was just cool before. Now i know the real reason  ::)

I'm really into WWII history.  It was such a fascinating time that really shaped the course of history long after 1946.

I absolutely love cars and go-karting! I'd say with karting, a feminine aspect is that I'm really not very competitive, I'd be happy winning or losing - I just love the speed!

Also, I'm an avid gamer, and am particularly into death matches on GTA online. Again, I just enjoy the experience, and am not fussed about winning. If I have killed someone multiple times, I may let them kill me once or twice so they enjoy the match more.

Oh, I have hobbies. Music and writing, but I write like a girl and play guitar like a girl more than guy. Give me the Schoolgirl uniform and some ACDC and I am good to go. Or short shorts, high heels and a tight tank top and I'm good to go. I always loved the eighties band Vixen. My God the clothes and the hair, not to mention the talent. But that is about the only thing and that is more girly than guy for me. Wow, I must be really messed up and dysphoric but to ignorant to know it. ::) But the dysphoria is biting more and more everyday.

Me too. I would love to have a pink Lamborghini with a snow whit interior. But that is about as far as my interests in cars go. A real mechanic or technician if something goes wrong. Put gas in, check the oil every now and then and water level and that is about as good as my mechanical skills go. I got a '69 Camaro and a mechanic that works on it, not me. I'm really thinking of having it painted hot pink with the white racing stripes aver the top and having the interior redone to white. but yeah, stereotypical or not I love pink especially mixed with white.
