My name's Nathaniel. I figured I should actually join up instead of just lurking on the forums. I'm post-top-op as of yesterday, and may have a lot of questions in the coming months (how to talk to co-workers? how to come out to 6yo sister? etc). Yeah. Fun times  ;)

Welcome to Susan's family
Always room for another post op here in the forum,
As for help, i think you will find there is help to be found all around the forum and if not always ask, ask and ask some more.

In the meantime pull up a chair and give a look over the following links for the site info...

Hey Nathaniel! I used to just lurk around a lot before I actually joined just like you. :P Congrats on the surgery, I hope it went well! :) You're definitely more than welcome to ask questions whenever you want and I wish you good luck on your journey. ;)

Little people like your sister are easy because they aren't corrupted yet. They get a bit confused, but they won't think twice about it after a while.

Hi Nathaniel! Welcome to our family!  :)

Thanks for the welcome! I'll see how the surgery went when they take the vest off tomorrow - the surgeon was Dr. Zinsser  (in Richmond, VA) and it looks like he knows his stuff.

I'm conflicted about my sister - she thinks I like "boy stuff" meaning dinosaurs and outer space, which is good for me, I guess, but I feel like I should find her some books about famous scientists who're women or something so she doesn't go to school thinking science is just for boys  :(

Dinosaurs do tend to be "boy stuff", I've never met a girl who wanted to talk about dinosaurs... But outer space, definitely, yeah, that isn't just a boy thing... Maybe Google ways on how to show her that its not just "boy stuff"? Books, maybe, but 6yo's tend to not want to read about that kind of stuff to my experience... If I was given a book when I was six, I probably would've never read it; unless somebody read it to me. However, nowadays, I'll read any book you got - I love to read! <3
