So my consultation with Dr Raphael is on Monday, and I have some questions. I'm pretty sure he'll have to look at my chest, do they have you put on a gown or can you just slip your binder off? What else takes place during consult?

My consult was with Dr. Megan Hassall in Sydney, Australia - but I'm sure most are similar.

Basically, she just asked me questions about myself, transitioning, etc. - had a look at the letter from my psychiatrist and had me just take off my shirt to look at my chest - then she explained what she would do surgery-wise.

At my consultation with Dr. Crane in California, he simply asked me my cup size and whether I was binding.  (We agreed that I wasn't going to be able to have a keyhole incision. I knew this beforehand.)
They didn't have me in a hospital gown until the day of surgery, but he had a look at my chest during a small pre-surgery consultation the day before.

If I remember correctly.

Of course, they asked about other things like allergies, medications, whether I'd had any surgeries before, payment, usual recovery time, etc. during both consultations.  :)
