The folks at E3000 in Dallas are so wonderful.  I had two techs working on me today and they work so hard.. you really get your money's worth...
We thought it would take two full days but looks like tomorrow will be a partial day so I may save some bucks....I hope!
Anyway its my first clearing so should lose about 40% of my beard...
Its so exciting to be moving forward.  My wife had a meltdown after I left for Dallas... the reality of it all just hits her.. but we are soul mates and it will be ok...
Love
Carrie :)

Probably what happened is the reality of you transition hit when she saw the first in permanent physical changes being done to you.

The first time my wife came with me to electrolysis it was my 3rd electrolysis appointment, she watched from across the room. On the way home she broke down crying, because the reality of it being real hit her. It's a perfectly normal reaction. She loves the new me and with are staying married, and we are closer in many ways that we were before. Her tears were also from seeing the old me dying. She misses the old me, but she is so happy to be with the new me. She is also happy that I am now my true self.

E3K is place in Dallas that injects lidocaine into the face (ouch ouch ouch) and performs rapid full facial electrolysis or any other place for that matter.  They can manage to do two technicians at a time which is a rarity among electrolysis shops.  I had them do my chest in addition to my face last time minus the injections.  I'm going in for round 5 in a few weeks and then a brazilian butt lift two days later with another surgeon.  Should be an agonizing week.  It takes about three hours to clear my face at this point and as painful as this is I am actually looking forward to it.  The first time I was there a client had flew in from California, but luckily I live a few hours away.

Wow,  that sound very...  Pleasant
But it's for a good cause.
BTW,  is there any laser X electrolysis post? It seems there are some differences and I don't know what is better

Wannessa,
From what I have learned and I could be wrong but laser may not be permanent... where the E3K procedure should kill the hair unless its dormant ... by end of today my entire face will have been cleared not a whisker left however the dormant ones can come back and so I go back every six weeks.. could take 5 or more sessions to clear my face..
There is a forum on Susan's that talks about it..

Sydney,
Your right... she is watching the male die... I am getting it now.. even friends telling me they will miss the old me...
Kind of frustrating.... since in some ways I still feel like just me... but being real.
I am so much more open now and relaxed... and even though I cared about others before I can listen better and really have more empathy for others on a deeper level.

Congrats, Carrie! I love E3000 and I actually like the new offices in Lewisville better than the old offices.

I've completed five full sessions at E3000 so far since December of last year and they are getting shorter and shorter but I was warned at the start that I could require as many as 9 and maybe even more sessions due to a nasty old male beard. My trail so far is documented in my E3000 thread in the Hair Removal forum. The first session was two techs all day for one day, a lot of hours in that chair. The last session, in July, was 2 techs for less than 6 hours total (3 hours clock time). My next (sixth) session is next Friday.  I'm hoping it will be in the 6 hour or less range. It's nice to walk out of the salon hair free in the face for the next couple weeks. :)

I can definitely tell mine is clearly thinning but since it was so thick especially on the chin, lips and neck, it's taking a lot of effort and time to clear (for me). I hope yours goes a bit quicker!

Liz,
Be sure and tell Leslie we chatted... she is so awesome...  have you heard the radio show she did a long time ago where they had someone send a cell phone through the drive through bank tube.... had me falling out of my chair!!
They cleared me for about 1400 bucks  first time so really don't know how long it will take in the long run.. I had two techs yesterday for about 5 hours then one tech today for about 5 hours..
Wow, around the lips sure hurts when we get shots.. I have to really in my mind leave the seat for a while mentally..
Love
Carrie.
BTW they know me as Kerrie....
