I have injection questions for those of y'all who do there injections in the "upper-outer" region of the butt/hip, or are in the medical field and familiar with this topic.
So, I'm laying on my side right now and am just now really noticing where my hip bone is... Like, yeah, I know the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone, and thigh bone is connected to the...

lol
Anyways, I put a band-aid on after the injection, and it is ever so slightly higher than the top of the hip bone and about an inch or two back. Does this sound like a safe spot?
I was tired and achey before I did the shot, but idk am I overthinking it?
Next week I'm going to have a nurse re-train me.
I was taught that you should place the base of your palm, with your fingers spread out, on the top of your hip bone, and then pivot it back a quarter turn (45ish degrees). Then, the space between your middle and ring finger should be your targeted spot.
Sound right?
