So I've been to three appointments now, with my latest having a new technician (who I requested for next time). The first technician used a lower setting, and when I asked for a higher setting, she seemed very unwilling said it was more than enough for my skin/hair type (I am extremely pale and have as black of hair as you can expect on Southern European heritage).

My new technician was willing to go higher. My question is this: is there really a difference? Should I ask for the highest setting possible, just to be safe? The progress from my first appointment was excellent, the second was okay, and the last one I had seems to not have accomplished as much -- though, it's only been a week since then, to be fair.

I really want to know if I should put my foot down about the maximum setting!
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?

I am no expert on this but here's my opinion.

I would let the tech decide which setting is best for you, they're the expert. Now this is just a guess but I'd imagine that you would want to be on the lowest effective setting you can be on. Reason for this is because too high of a setting could cause burns or scars, and who wants that on their face, or anywhere for that matter?

When i started my laser friend started on low but now full power. You dont want burns on your face. Tell them if hot when they shoot, i guess as high as you can stand but let them know.
