(warning: this is just for fun. read all the way to the end, and you might understand why.)

let's say the binary is very real, and we were actually supposed to explain the world and everything in it in very binary terms...

there is a man (l) and there is a woman (O). (it's kind of obvious why they're defined the way there are, don't you think?)

but then there is a person who has primary sex characteristics of one, and secondary of the other. and obvious lO.
and this person has personality traits of both (the way society sees it). even more lO.
of course, because of this, the person ends up defining themselves as a whole lot of both as well. add one more lO.

we here have a person who can be defined as:
lOlOlO

now try translating this into a decimal value?

Ummm... 101010...10+10+10=30?
Nvm...

didn't you learn to read binary?
there are online converters if you can't figure it out. write the whole number, and the answer will appear very clear.

I wanted to say 8... so when you turn it sideways, it becomes infinity ;D but that would be incorrect since infinity is a concept, not a number.

So... next closest thing, zero?  ;D

Sammy

Oh sh....
That's... that's THE ANSWER!!!11

i was suspecting, but it's still something for those who really didn't learn to read it.

Sometimes people do not feel their non-binary-ness in the same way.

Someone may feel internally to be more male but still female (l0)
They may feel their body is and should be more male but still female (l0)
They may dress and express more female but still male (0l)
They may connect more with males but still with females (l0)
They hobbies and interests may be more male but still female (l0)

As always, the devil is in the details.

I just figured out how you did that, thanks for the inspiration

Arguably the best genders don't just have a lot of ls and 0s alike, but they also come in spurts that can lead people to think one thing before a tidal wave comes from the other direction and forces them to reconsider their approach: genders like 0ll0, 0lll00, 0lllll0000, 0lllllll000000, and 0lllllllllllll000000000000.
