Parent of transgender woman shares her thoughts

Twin Cities resident Jean Bergstrom feels immense pride in her daughter Adelie, 31, a skilled copy editor and page designer, model and clothes aficionado.

Bergstrom's daughter, Adelie, recently received a judge's blessing to change the gender on her birth certificate from male to female, a legally binding declaration.
