For those that have started lose dose T, how much did your voice change and how quickly?  How long before someone who sees you every day  notices? Someone who sees you once a week? What about other changes that aren't easily overlooked?

I'm pre-T but very ready for T and am thinking low dose would at least get me started.   I'm about to start a new job and I'm trying to figure out how long before I would have before my voice was noticeable on the job.  I would like to make 6 months or so before I need to come out.

YMMV It could be in days, it could be in months, too much variance to give you a short answer.

thanks for the info.  Looks like waiting until I'm firm in the new job is the safe answer.  :-\

Agree with LordKAT. My doctor put me on very low dosage to begin with and increased after a month but still much lower than the reference dosage, and lowered it again after my hysto. I wouldn't say my changes were a lot slower than other guys, but not as dramatic in general. I don't think it is due to my low dosage though, I am Asian so naturally I just won't become hairy and muscular as easily.

I was on low dose for about 3 months. My voice got not really deeper but did change somehow. Really carried a lot more or something. OTOH, 3 months isn't much time. And low dose can mean anything from a dose which will help you to transition to a very low dose which won't do too much. I know of guys who are on a low dose, more for their voice, and they have transitioned enough to be read as male consistently two years out. OTOH, their are non-binary folks who are on it. Some changes but not many. The latter can be done but it's quite a balancing act.

It seems, after all these years, now that I know I can do something, I need to do it now.  Patience is not one of my virtues.  But self -preservation, ie career, needs to stay a priority.  I have my first therapy appt Tuesday to help sort all this out. (And call-back job interview on Wednesday).  I want to talk low dose and I appreciate you guys giving me some info to talk with her about.

I've been on I guess a normal dose for 3 1/2 months and changes have been so slow. My voice is finally cracking, that started a couple weeks ago. I have some hair on my stomach and maybe some extra peach fuzz on my face. Low dose/normal dose. There are no guarentees.
