Funding a transition

I am really early in my transition and I am already having a hard time financially. I really won't be able to afford anything with out finding another job despite the fact that my current job is full time. im really getting stressed out because I have a hard time just affording my therapy and clothes and make-up. its really stressing me out. I already am selling my car and I am going to sell my base guitars, but that money will only get me so far. I am going to get hired in soon at my job and they offer insurance benefit but im not even sure if I can afford rent this month.... I'm really stressed out about my current financial state. With how things are now im never going to be able to afford laser hair removal, or any of the surgeries I need. idk what to do.

Also I would like to go back to school so I can have a actual career at some point. that's another thing that is going to cost me a ton of money...

I understand completely. I'm basically in the same boat. If it weren't for friends, I would have lost what little I do have. I have thought about a online funding idea but have not put it into practice as the successful ones are more social than I. Maybe something like that would help you.

Start tightening the belts on your budget. Squeeze every penny you can put towards your transition. The thing about online funding is that all too often the audience you're reaching out to for funds is in the exact same situation as you are and are unable to help. I've thought about getting a second job too or trying to get all the overtime at work that I can but right now I'm just worn out with everything that's going on around so as much as a second job would help me out financially it would also drain me mentally. Just can't win right now other than to keep walking and putting one foot in front of the other.

I hear you on the being mentally drained part. I only have one job and i'm already worn out.... its to bad we can get tax breaks for being trans lol.

In a way you can. Medical costs are possible to claim on your taxes, including hormones and surgeries.
