Hi
im 51 and just at the serious begining of my journy. life got too hard trying to ignore my gender issues and i finally am on the correct track.part of my journy is ive been on chemical castration for the last 6 months to stop my hyper sexuality and also find out if the feelings i had were real or just sexual fantasy. i intend to stay on the drug untill i can attend the gender clinic it has been such a help.its been rough admitting things to myself and it nearly drove me to madness. im cychlothimic which to those who dont know is bipolar 3. ive spent a lifetime hiding behind a false male persona so changing will take time. i am down to earth and will always have a boystuss side. the spectrum of gender is so wide some fail to understand it when your not dressed in frilly pink. ok so a bit ott but it takes time to kick of the male rubbish.

Hi Jody,

I can identify with you, I am 38 and I have a lifetime of coping behaviours to shrug off, congratulations on starting your journey and I hope it makes you feel as content as it has me!

Hey Jody

Welcome to Susan's :) Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

I wouldn't worry too much about being expected to wear frilly pink, don't think that is a fashion choice fir many women...trans or cis!

Please check out the following links for general site info...

Welcome Jody to Susan's family,

Everyone has there path.

Yes there are so many labels that are tossed about.

Society labeled me at birth.

I knew society was wrong.

I fixed what society said is needed for there new label.

So who is right or wrong?

I am a human who fixed what nature missed.

I was born a human, I will live as a human, I will die a human in the shadows of societies non acceptance.
