Just turned 25 today. When I look back on my life, I'm so saddened by the thought that it's been 25 years that I've been living as a male. But at the same time, I'm determined to make this the year--the year when everything changes for me. The year where I get EVERYTHING done that I need to get done, and go full-time. The year where the mistake of my past 25 years is corrected. Because if I have the energy to look back on my life and be regretful, I certainly have just as much in order to change it.

*high five*! Happy birthday! I understand the feeling, but don't regret the past. Think of it this way, without that 25 years you probably wouldn't be at the point you are now to be mentally strong enough to make the transition. The past 25 years have set you up for this. I hope your first year goes as well as I hope mine to go! Good luck!

It's is mine today also, I'm 35 years older than you but don't really feel or look it at all (so I'm told)

I really really wish I would have been brave enough to come out with this all when I was your age but for the most part it was almost unheard of and very much so not look open positively.
