I'm new to this board. I'm having a hard time trying to find doctors in Toronto willing to take on a new patient for T.

I'm not quite sure what the process is like, but i most doctors assess the patient or does therapy sessions before they prescribe T?
I've called pretty much every doctor on the list that 519 community center gave me but most of them aren't taking on new patients and the Sherbourne clinic has a 6 month minimum wait list.

Does anybody have names of the doctors that provide HRT that is still accepting new patients?
My family doctor isn't great either and i tried to make an appointment with her to see if i can get a referral to an endocrinologist and the earliest appointment is in December. :(

I keep running into dead ends!! Maybe some of you guys can help?

most doctors will want you to go to therapy before they prescribe T. with that, dr. raymond fung in toronto might be taking on new patients if you haven't checked in with him yet. that or you can go through CAMH but idk their waiting list time and a lot of people don't like them.

I would say that December isn't so very far away, take it. If you find one sooner, you can always cancel, if you don't the wait will be even longer.

Try Dr Kristen Creek at Queen and Dufferin (http://www.queenstreetmedical.ca/meet-our-doctors.php)

She's great! The process doesn't take long at all.. (3 months or less?). You also do not require a therapists note. She's taking in new patients as well. My overall experience there has been great - she's very open minded and doesn't dictate how you should transition - it feels more like she's working with you (send me a PM or post here if you have any questions! I've been seeing her for over a year now).

I get my HRT  prescriptions from my family doctor but most of the girls I know that don't have a supportive family physician seem to either go to Dr. Fung or Dr. Carys Massarella over in St. Catharines, Carys does informed consent BTW.

Thanks for the replies!
I'll try Dr. Creek and Massarella.
Dr. Blair Voyodovic replied to my message today but he's waitlisted too...but earlier than december! Cross my fingers!
