How big is too big? As of now, I'm a 32B with no sagging, but I know T will cause sagging (which is one of the reasons I'd like top surgery before T, but I don't think my insurance would cover that or that any surgeon would agree to it). My weight fluctuates a lot so my cup size goes between B and C and even A depending on the time of month and how much I've been exercising.

So, here are my questions:
1) What is the maximum cup size for periareolar top surgery?
2) Can you do top surgery before T?
3) How long does it usually take to get a consultation with a surgeon?
4) How long does it take to get the surgery?
5) How long does it take to recover enough from surgery to return to school/work?

(Oh, and here are some of the other reasons why I'd like to get top surgery before T:
-Boobs are the #1 source of my dysphoria
-I'd like to swim for fitness when I start T
-I'd like to preserve and/or donate some eggs
-This might sound weird, but I want pictures of myself as a "boy" with all of my family around the pool at a barbecue or birthday party before T makes me a "man". When I was a kid, before puberty ruined my life, I always had birthday pool-parties. I want the pictures to start up where I left off in the family picture albums.
-I am on medications that might not work while I am on T, and I need more time to find new meds that will work on T, and for that I need a new psychiatrist and it takes months and months to find the right balance.
-Binding makes my asthma flare up and I have a history of lung collapse, so the less pressure I have on my chest, the better.
-I can't wear a binder in some of the long college classes I am taking.
-The thought of having a male shape and hairy female breasts upsets me almost as much as what I've got now. I don't know why.)

Hi sebster,

I haven't had top surgery (nor am I on t for that matter), but for your question about recovery you may want to check out Christopher's thread in this forum "top surgery. I need a plan" (sorry, my phone doesn't let me do links). Lots of good info there that may give you a better idea :).
