Pain from binding, what else can I do?

I've been binding every day, around 12 hours a day for a few months now. I haven't had a ton of pain, just a bit of soreness. Today I was slumped over on a couch and felt a sharp twinge of pain toward the bottom of the left side of my rib cage on my back. An hour later I got home and took it off but I'm still kind of uncomfortable, and the soreness is becoming a bit more regular lately.

Besides not binding and OTC meds, what else can I do? Are there any stretches I can add to my physical therapy routine? I'm gonna try to do those exercises without my binder and take it off earlier but I have to take my dog outside a lot so it's hard.

My binder DOES fit correctly, but I have chronic pain so I guess it's taken less time for it to start becoming painful.

You may want to try binders that are made of elastic materials.
Take a few breaks during the day and take the binder off if you can.
You can also train your lat muscles to take some pressure away from your chest.

You are binding much too long. That'll happen to anyone binding that long every day. I'm surprised it's only just began to happen now to be honest. You need to either cut down, or have at least a day a week where you don't wear it for more than a few minutes. Preferably both.

Regardless of whether it fits or not you're still doing arm to yourself from the pressure.
