Posting this from my local barbershop where I'm waiting my turn to get my hairs did. Idk abt any of y'all, but I've always loved cutting my hair and the tiny reinvention of it all. Today, though, was kind of special bc I woke up this morning with the half baked idea that I was gonna do it in guy mode. Yknow, give my name, wear the right clothes - the whole shebang.
But lmfao, I didn't think it through. Pitched my voice low and then realized I was wearing a girlyass necklace; gave my name and then handed over my ID with my legal name and gender marker... Basically every aspect of the walk up, I bungled. Honestly, it was the kind of passing screw up that takes skills. Go me?
Now I just feel embarrassed and ugly-duckling awkward. Anyone got good vibes to spare to get me through the next 40mins of stammering? Commiseration and stories of enthusiastic passing failures highly welcomed.
