I need some help. I've been living full time as a female for a little bit over a year but I haven't yet had any facial hair lasered.(it's just not financially possible at the moment. )  I've been shaving as close as possible then using Dermablend soft beige foundation and powder to coverup the shadow I still have after I shave. I was actually thinking about adding the corrective stick as well because I've heard it also helps cover what I can still see with the foundation and powder but I've been doing alright without the corrective stick all the same. With the changes the two years of hrt has done to my body, I'm being seen as any other woman when I'm out of the house when I have on my makeup. No one gawks, snickers or harasses me but if I was to go outside without makeup I'm stared and giggled at. It's not a pleasant feeling and it makes me feel nervous to leave the house when I'm without makeup. I recently ran out of foundation and went to order some more online only to find out it's been discontinued. Does anyone know a good substitute for Dermablend soft beige foundation? I really fail at makeup still and I'm no good with just going out and matching the right color with my skin in the stores. Any help would be appreciated.

Glamour Boutique (online)  has a really good tattoo cover in several shades that works wonderfully. :)

Get orange lipstick apply to the blue/dark shadow areas, then apply your foundation, this will hide your shadow. Go to any makeup store so a rep can help you find the right shade for your skin tone. Basically most foundations will work if its liquid even the cheapo ones from drugstores, powder is a bit trickier since it can give you that caked on look. Plus with liquid you get a more natural look.

I use HD foundation and its super good.

It sounds like beard shadow is your big obstacle, all right. At this point, I'd really, really suggest finding some way to get facial hair removal. Yes, it's quite expensive, but if you browse around the forum here you'll find lots of tips for minimizing the cost. For instance, laser treatments are cheaper than electrolysis, so you want to have laser first and just do the other to take care of anything that remains (lighter hairs, usually). While not recommended by the manuf. for the face, there are reasonably priced DIY laser devices that have been used successfully, too (again, it's in the forum posts).

If you're two years into HRT, you're obviously aiming for the long term, so hair removal may be you next big step.
