Hi all I've been actively reading all your wonderful posts everyday but I haven't posted myself I really appreciate what you all do and all the encouraging words and advice you give to so may people. You've all truly touched me with your bravery and compassion  and you have gained my deepest respect.

But recently I surprised myself with a poem I wrote to the Wiccan Goddess on my 18th birthday about my love for her and my desire to be who I really am. Its very sad yet beautiful at the same time. I seemed to have dug it up on my storage drive. I'd like to share it with you.

It's called 'Elysium Dreams'

Elysium Dreams
To you oh holder of my shattered heart
To you oh breaker of things I am not
To you oh master of my Elysium Dreams
I praise you and offer my love by mortals unseen
To you whom by flame and moon do I sing
And only offerings of incense and tears do I bring
With pleas of sorrow, to you, do I cry
And shout which screams "I cannot let another day in this life go by"
In letters I tell you what secrets no mortal doth know
That down this path of Elysium Dreams I must go
For the Elysium is me, and the Dream is the story these Books must become
Until I can stand before you naked and praise you in the sun
For you came to me and heard my cry
On that forlorn hopeless night I wanted to die
You came into my dreams and gave me my first kiss
And showed me these tales, these Elysium Dreams, and the meaning of bliss
Because of my love I have to hide this love letter I now write
For a witch's love song is only heard under the full moon of the night
I have to hide who I am because of ignorance and hate
They say this Elysium Dream is not fit to be sung before Heaven's gate
Yet even though they burn my wings I will sing this Elysium Dream for all to hear
For the time of the Nine-Tailed Phoenix is almost near
As the days go by we draw closer to the Fifth Age
Where this Elysium Dream will be written page by page
In the end they will judge me not by what I write and not by what I say
But in the end they will say every word of this tome of dreams was devoted to your holy name
My Goddess...

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.
