Do any of you use Amazon Prime to watch shows and movies? There's this new-ish show called Transparent that I assume is only available on this service. There's a promo spot on the app's home page that typically shows whatever new thing they want to advertise, and the promo for this show appeared shortly after I decided to transition. I was like, "Hahahaha, the word 'trans' is in there...but noooo, it couldn't actually be a pun," even though there's a prominent photo of a distressed man in lipstick and nail polish.

Welp, it's about a dad who lets out the secret that he's transgender. I haven't watched it yet--my curiosity just got the better of me and I've only read the episode summaries--but the show appears to deal with her transition. There are apparently other family secrets involved, but they aren't divulged in the short summaries (of course, because then what would be the point of watching the show).

Just thought I'd let you know about it, and if you start watching it, maybe we can discuss it in this thread in the future. I never watch TV and belong to no TV show fandoms, so this is a rare event for me, haha.

I also hope it isn't awful because then I'd feel like a moron for promoting it.

Just a little faerie punk floating through this strange world of humans.
