I've got injured feet right now, actually, and it's not very pleasant. Always rubbing them against something and irritating them. :(

The only problem I have with my feet is my unfortunate habit of putting them in my mouth.  This feat (pun intended) is made all the easier by the fact that I have small feet and a big mouth.

And some of the rest of you think you have problems.

hehe sounds so familiar, I've heard this one: "I can't believe that you can still walk with both feet in your mouth!"  ;D

I'm sure my feet are proportionate to my size and my body wouldn't be as easy to handle if I shrunk them but when you struggle to get shoes to fit then the urge for smaller feet can be great. I also want a smaller body. Thought I'd mention that so nobody thinks I have anything against feet  ;D

If your toes are long you can shorten those. Seen a woman show that on a tv show before, the before and after not the surgery. But I think only when all the toes are longer than the big toe. Hard to change that one I believe.. Not sure o.o.
This^^___^^ is absolutely the most ridiculous, and potentially harmful idea for cosmetic surgery I've ever heard of. In my 91 accident both of my feet were broken because I tried to brace myself before impact, and it took over a year for them to heal enough to where I could walk with a cane. And years after that for me to walk somewhat normally. When I heard of some actresses doing this to make their feet smaller I cringed at the thought of it, likewise the same when I saw it here. Don't do it ladies. It's a very bad idea. You could end up crippled or at the very least a lengthy recovery time involving very very painful physical therapy. My gosh girls, haven't we got enough things to worry about?

I'm 5'9". I felt kinda short when I lived in England but that seems to be quite tall in Canada. I thought my height would make me feel dysphoric but I like being tall now. One of my best (cis) girlfriends is 6'0" and she totally rocks it. I now feel that being slim and supermodel height really isn't so bad.  ;)

The surgery exists and I never said I would do it. Everyone has insecurities and at first for me it was my height. Everywhere on the internet I would search for solutions. Many people before me had asked the some question; how to get shorter?

Everywhere, the same response. Accept yourself for who you are. I agree, everyone should but not everyone does or is ready for that. Instead I would still have the burning question like I had without even given the option.

Voice surgery also happens even although it carries a high risk. One might thinks it is a stupid thing another understands it. Either way the person undergoing it was given an option and I am not to judge what he or she picks. So to just tell it short, I rather be honest and give people an option other than to decide for them what to do.

And oh, you do got surgery to reduce height by the way. Three of them o.o. Just prefered my height over the risks :D.

With the foot surgery you don't break anything so it can't be compared to that either. They remove a section depending on your toes.

I am barely 5-7.... small feet and hands..in fact having my small hands and feet used to bother me when I was passing as a guy in fact my buddies would tease me about it.... ironic that now i am ok with it.
I wear a size 8 jeans and size 8 woman's shoes.
Nothing wrong with being a tall woman.. women come in all shapes and sizes......... just as men do...

Now that we've had a large number of respondents (238), lets take a moment to compare the following charts:

(It appears the vertical scale on this third-party chart represents
percentage rather than frequency as in the data from our poll.)

Other than a few very minor anomalies this data pretty much lines up spot on with the North American distribution for those of genetic male birth.  e.g., I'm wondering if a lot of people were rounding up to 5'10" in our poll, if not on most numbers.  This would be consistent with many studies based on self-reported data and may be a residual habit from trying to 'be more masculine'.  I admit I'm still in the habit myself of rounding up, although I'm between 6'0.5" and 6'1" so I'm not technically fibbing.  I suppose as a woman I might feel better if I got in the habit of rounding down to 6'-even.  (I can see the eye-rolls now as girl-me starts tells people "I'm only 6' tall"!)

Even though a number of us trans have certain conditions that could have come in to play, the stats really haven't changed from what is widely typical.  Should we be surprised?  For some fun reading I'm linking an article that I lifted the US Distribution chart image from.  It's a quick and interesting read about the history of height in the US:

Enjoy!

I'm about 5'8" and 138lbs-ish now, but was 5'10" at one point. My height was something that kept me from transitioning for many years. Go figure.

When he was ready he showed it to his friends and they said he had created a great statue. aaaahh... i can't hear it anymore.
I always hear comments from my female friends (they don't know that i'm trans - pre hrt) how "horrible" it would be to be a girl with my height (6'3'').

Today i went for a second blood test (growth hormones were to high last time) to my endocrinologist and the assistant accidently gendered my correctly because my first name is very similar to a popular girl's name.
That seems to happen quite often when i'm relatively new to a clinic.

Well i afterwards told a friend about it and she found it extremly funny... not because of my name, because of my height... -.-'

I'm going on HRT no matter what, but seriously... why does everyone always picks at my height? There are a hundred of other people at my age and height at my university (or i shrinked and it just looks that way °.^).

I would say I am fortunate about my 5'7" height and small frame 135 lbs. My feet are a size 9 in womens shoes and my bottoms are a size 4 and my tops are an 8 or small; dress size is a 6 or a small. For work, I wear a size bigger in tops.

My dad and brother are 5'10" and my mother is 5'4" and my sister is 5'6".  <3

234 replies so far and is no one going to challenge that 6'7" mark?  I'm sure Pikachu has a prize awaiting the lucky winner!  Will no one step up and accept the challenge?  I'm afraid I haven't a hope myself.

As y'all know I'm 5-5 and I fluctuate just under 120 lb's. Proportionally tho I'm very long legged for my height.
My dress size is 2 to 4 (small) depending on brand,
My bottom size is a 6 to 8 (small) again depending on brand,
And shoes of course are a 7 or 8 depending on brand.
I too have small hands and narrow feet. Small Ankles and wrists as well (my wrist is 5 & 3/4 around).
I consider myself very lucky.

@Julie: You really are an inspiration girl! Your posts are always so upbeat and cheerful, and bring my spirits up every time I read one!

Peace everyone! :icon_bunch:

Well, I do know that we have another 6'7" member on this forum. Maybe if she rounds up she can make it into the 'Above' category and claim her fabulous prize.

5'-9" here with size 11US feet. I still feel a little tall, but mostly I think I blend in alright. :-)
