I have been wanting to transition into a woman since I was very little. I feel like I finally have the chance. So I went to my local clinic here in Fairbanks and they told me that there is no one who can help me in the entire state. Can someone please help me? Is there anyone in Alaska who has done this before?

I will message a trans friend of mine in Fairbanks and ask him.

I took a poke around the webs and there is

http://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/prof_detail.php?profid=67853
for therapy services and a lgbt org in general. There was another therapist who claimed to work with the lgbt population but I couldn't verify it so that's not saying much.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

My friend in Fairbanks replied and said-

Yes! And... if they don't come to our peer-to-peer support group, they should! We're at genderpioneers at gmail.com. That email goes just to me. Also can find us on FB.
The physician is Ellie Hogensen. She works with MTF and FTM folks, although not with minors. Teenagers we refer to Anchorage.
She's an OB-GYN, at Chena Obstetrics and Gynecology.

A little late to the conversation but I'm from Fairbanks. My previous doctor left town but Ellie Hogensen is really sweet. When I come back I'm set to go see her.

Careful with gender pioneer group as for me at least a bad place. Ellie is my Dr too.
