A penitent man fell to his knees and made confession to the LORD. "My God," he asked, "why is it that you love me in spite of all this?" The LORD showed him a vision of all humanity. He caused a warm breeze to fall over the man and said tenderly, "My precious child, I do not love you in spite of your sins - I love you because of them." Then the man buried his face in the LORD's garment and wept.
