This plus give a reason why your changing your name. I don't think they really care as long as you're not trying to dodge bankruptcy, bad debts or attempt fraud.

Oh they loved it when someone changes their name requesting a whole new birth certificate. Not just a amended name change for legal purposes. It also makes life easier on you

Odd.
They let me keep my old one... does this mean I'm legally two names and genders at the same time?

I didn't have to return any copies I had. The funny thing is the only copy I can seen to find in house of the original is the one from when I was born in the hospital with the feet prints on back. So the only certified copy I have is the new one that has every updated on it.

...then what's to stop me from just pulling that one out and changing all my documents back to birth name / gender and resuming my old identity?  Anyone think they would let me do that?
