Thanks Lady Smith

He lives in NZ so I spoke to him yesterday and wrote him a long letter today...he wrote back immediately and was full of support and just wanted to know what he could do to help me...

He said he was a bit "annoyed" that I had not told him earlier so that he could have helped me when I was younger...when I read this about 30 minutes ago I couldn't hold back any longer and out came the tissues...so yeah I am very grateful and happy as another important person comes aboard for the journey with me.

Figured out why my TV/DVR/On Demand wasn't working reliably, and fixed it myself. Loose connection between the box and the TV.

I'm hiding from the world and responsibilities today, so this was my one bright spot.

OK, this was last night, but here goes...

We went to the Joe Bonamassa concert last night, which was awesome.   Before the show we went out to dinner and were served by a trans waitress.  She was completely awesome as well.

I've discovered that the pain meds I take for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have a beneficial effect on my problems with narcolepsy.  As I can't tolerate the stimulants normally used to treat narcolepsy this is a big plus for me.  I had started to notice that the days when I had more pain and needed to use my meds that I was less sleepy as a result and when I did a google search I discovered that neurologists had observed this effect too so it wasn't just my imagination.  Wooot! - this makes me sooooo happy because it means that I can have a life again.  :eusa_dance: :eusa_clap: :icon_joy:

I had a GREAT day yesterday, I normally don't have those, it's either just good, meh, or bad, although it could've been better if something had happened and if I didn't have some loneliness and depression at a certain point but thankfully that didn't last long so overall, I'm really happy about yesterday.

I saw my therapist for the first time today. I'm so excited I could explode. He's already ready to write me a letter for HRT and I can start it whenever I'm able to afford it!

He even suggested a few places I could work locally that cover everything - it turns out Starbucks and Capital One are great places to work if you're transgender.

An unexpected compliment from an old friend. This was the first time they had seen me for a long time, so I absolutely appreciated the love.

A co-worker, an absolutely sweet woman from Kenya, spontaneously referred to me as "she". I haven't asked anyone to do that yet.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I just applied for 10 different positions through a temp agency. After the grueling task of applying for jobs individually for the past several days that feels like a big relief. I mean, I didn't get hired or an interview or anything yet... but I'm hopeful. I'll keep looking tomorrow.  :)

I just looked down on the desk and saw a little tiny jumping spider, I blurted out loud "Aww! So cute!" and beamed a smile at it. Normally I would not do that. I have been on HRT for a month now and I feel good, happy, and apparently now I think things are cute. Teehee  ;)

hugs & :-*

I got the last of my stiches/screws out from my FFS/BA surgery.  Now all that is left to do is finish healing.

Way to go girl!

Screws! - Wow Jessie almost sounds like you're the Bionic Woman!

The local church shop is having a sale with all clothing $NZ5.00 for a grocery bag full.  I scored a nice pair of jeans and an olive green shirt for myself as well as a pair of nearly new jeans for my daughter along with three really nice tops that look great on her.  I think I'll go back tomorrow and see what else I can find  :D

I'm about 1/3 of the way through a 12-week fitness programme, through which I'm trying to transform my rather weather-beaten body into something the other people might find appealing. ;)

I've noticed that various areas feel a lot firmer than before... but today I was stretching in front of a mirror and I noticed for the first time in years that my shirt is now hanging pretty much normally over my belly. My belly has been distended and scarred for about 18 years now, so it's amazing to finally see my body starting to resemble a normal human body for the first time in almost 2 decades.

Holy cow, is it possible that I'm learning to love the skin I'm in?!?

Only one more therapy appointment to go and managed to book the doctor's appointment on the same day, to hopefully get the go ahead for hormones. Fingers crossed  :P
