If anyone lives in/around the Sacramento (CA) area and needs to tap into some LGBTQ resources, this is a good place to start.  This place supplies counseling, advocacy letters, name change assistance, and a whole other gamut of services.  It is here I got the advocacy letter I took to the VA to get started on my HRT.  Dr. Nylund is very professional and his word is gold in a lot of places in NorCal...at least from my experience, that is.
