Hi All,

I am 55, living in Perth,Western Australia. I have had 10 sessions with a GP referred psychologist initially related to major stress issues, which quickly identified my underlying Gender Dysphoria since the age of 7.  My GP (has accepted diagnosis of GID) has written a referral to an endocrinologist, but has indicated that I would probably need a letter from the psychiatrist before the endocrinologist will prescribe HRT (not sure), psychologist might be enough.

Anyway, not sure how to approach the psychiatrist, as they are very expensive, and do not want more than 1 visit.

PS: I am married 23+ years and have 3 children ranging from 13 to 19, and not discussed this at all, as I am not sure where I am really heading.

Toni.
