no pocket knife? I carry one
I did for a while too...Until I found out my knife was illegal to carry since it is considered a switch blade... Such a sad discovery  :(

Oh my gosh! Mine's been described by my friends as a Black Hole, lol!

Main Purse:

Medicines
Digital Camera
Small makeup kit depending on what I'm wearing that day
Credit Card Wallet(for DL., SS card, Amex's, etc.)
Clutch #1 (easily removable); Money & Store/Gas cards, Dr. Appt. Cards.
Clutch #2; Other Misc. Cards and Truck/Boat/Trailer registrations & insurance info.
Small compact with mirror
Pen
Lighter
Small pen flashlight
Extra AA batteries for camera
Extra SD card for camera.
USB thumb drive for truck stereo.
Boat keys.
Extra truck keys.
Note: I'm prolly forgetting something, lol! ;)

Well, there you have it and, it's just your average size leather shoulder bag just with a lot of compartments. Although, If I'm only going to be Shopping quickly or in a Dollar Store/gas station Clutch #1 is all I take in Hiding main purse under my truck seat. But I'f I'm going to be inside for a while the whole thing comes with.

Lawyers, guns, and money!

I usually have 2-3 firearms on my person. One in my purse, one in my waist and one on my ankle for good measure.

Lol! Love all the girls who carry guns! I have a couple of .45s myself but I doubt I will carry in a purse. I might get a shoulder or corset rig or continue IWB or pocket carry like I usually do. Or maybe a thigh holster.

I would love to carry a gun but my Job requires interstate travel and it's too much hassle to get a permit for every state.

Well, ladies, I'm beginning to think that the fact that I only ever carried a wallet in my purse when I tried using one was a huge giveaway re: my gender [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji16].

Yup you're so busted. ;)  There is something to be said for those simpler days with bulging pockets and a wallet.  Now we have two pages of inventory and a real need to clean it all out once in a while.  Heaven forbid we should ever lose our purse/handbag :D :

wowgee
do you need a permit for that?
also I'm curious why you carry loose rounds instead of a having them more easily loaded, in  Magazine? is there a federal or state statute that prohibits spare magazines?
Magazines become surprisingly bulky in a small purse loose ammo takes up no space, also some magazines are spendy.
Most states yes you need a permit.  Most of the time they are reasonably easy to obtain as long as you don't have any criminal record.

I read through the first and last page but I feel like most of you should add some type of self defense in your purse? Maybe it's a carry over from male mentality that you can take care of yourself but we tend to be targeted and many are not as strong as we used to be. Highly recommend adding a taser or pepper spray!

All these guns in public makes me so glad I live in Australia.

As long as they are in the hands of responsible citizens it is not a dangerous situation. I would rather be able to be equally armed than the one that tried to car jack me. ??? A lot of times if not most it isn't the carrying of arms that deters "nodogoders" but the idea that the predator might get hurt. Lions never attack the strongest of the heard. I would rather have firearms openly carried than concealed though. Besides criminals aren;t ever gonna' follow the law regardless of conceal, carry permits or firearms worn in the open. Besides the "wild west" is long gone. And you cannot drink in and establsihment and carry a firearm. But if someone is gonna be stupid enough to get drunk (unfortunately I do Know some) and threaten anyone with a firearm should be mandatory 5 years. I was military so I know how to use one. Even drinking there is no way no how I would ever use a firearm to settle anything other than a Cottonmouth that is a threat to me.

Australia hasn't had a death at the hands of a semi-automatic gun since 1996.
Why?
Because we had a mess killing, at the hands of a nut job who could get his hands on a semi-automatic gun and kill as many people he could within a few minutes.
Our gun laws were changed within weeks, our country is a lot safer today because of them.
People here do not carry guns in the bags while shopping, people don't need to fear that their kids have a higher chance of being shoot at school because we changed our gun laws.
Gun deaths in Australia are 60x lower today than pre-96, gun crime is just as lower.

As the rest of the western world laughs at your dangerous rightwing gun laws, we're also in shock at how people could allow the nut lobby put children at such a risk, time & time again.
