Presenting fully male tomorrow!!!!!

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, wasn't quite sure

So tomorrow I'm planning on going into town, just clothes shopping mostly BUT I've arranged to get a haircut while I'm out.
Every other time I've been to get a haircut it's been with either my mum or dad and they always used female pronouns and made sure to say ''Please can you make sure it's a bit feminine, don't want HER to look like a boy'' and from this I've never had the right sort of thing. But this time my mum has just given me the money and I'm off to hairdressers by myself (kind of dumb, but a big deal for me).
It'd only feel right to get a male haircut, so for that to happen I'm planning on introducing myself as Matthew 
This is gonna be really scary, as I'm pre everything and I'm not sure how often I pass, so I hope it'll go well. I want to go full time soon though, so presenting male in public is gonna happen sooner or later.
I'll be doing all I can to pass, male clothes, voice (ish) and mannerisms, but I'm so scared I'll mess up.

Any advice would be SUPER appreciated, I'll update sometime tomorrow on how it went

As all trans*people all say, passing is a matter of confidence. So be a confident young man who is expected to make his own decisions and put forward your demands for your haircut as any guy would do. Be firm and clear on what you want.

Be proud of yourself and NEVER be put off by anyones opinion except your own.

Well, it happened. Got in town, got to the hairdressers and as it was my first time she asked my name. The moment of my lifetime, what I had been stressing about for so long.
''Matthew.''
And that was actually it. She didn't hesitate, look twice or give me any looks, she just typed it in and done. Bam.
Sort of anti climactic  but literally the best outcome I could've thought of. Nothing eventful, no marching with pride flags or a parade haha, just got my haircut.
Even though it was uneventful it was such a great feeling  got a male haircut, presenting as male. Felt so right, struggling to even describe it.
I want to go full time soonish, feeling more confident

Congratulations, Matt. It's great when you work yourself up to something like that and then it's a complete anticlimax... just not a deal at all.

You have great hair, BTW... if there's such a thing as "passable" hair, you've got it. I'm a little envious...

Sweet! You'd be suprised at how easy it can be to go full time around the right people- I'm doing it at school, even with many people I've known for a long time, and it's going great. It always takes a while for family, but otherwise people (especially in liberal areas) are usually supportive. I remember I was so nervous introducing myself with a new name, but it was no big deal- And heck of a deal better than going on without doing it

Congrats man. your hair is alot like my style right now. It's rather fun to be honest to get it cut short... When I did it, It was an very freeing experience for me.

If you don't pass well yet but would like to, sometimes it's worth it to just literally state to your hairdresser that you're trans and would like a male haircut with the masculine touches. I got much better results from the same hairstylist when I mentioned that I was trans than when I didn't (I think she forgot me, and I didn't think to mention it again the second time). It's very nerve-wracking, but if you consider that you'll probably only ever have contact with this person when getting your hair cut, it's a little easier to take the plunge.
