I can't help being reminded of this:

I get that the intent and (short-term) effect of this jail ward is the opposite of that triangle (KZ prisoners didn't exactly volunteer for the pink triangle), but even so, it's a form of segregation that should ideally be unnecessary. It helps in the short term, but it also helps cement the pattern of violence against LGBT people in jail/prison. It saddens me that it's necessary.
