One of our friends here wrote to me the other day here and mentioned a therapist. Ive always said no basically before to go to see one. Im finally going to see one infact I have an appointment today! I know these feelings arent going to disappear and I know avoiding talking about them are not healthy for me. Weather it's awkward or not to talk about all this girl in me, I have to do it. I am nervous! Im different and that's cool with me and this is also exciting but scary to! Dealing with this myself isnt helping like I hoped.

You are and always will be who you where born.

Its you who will make yourself happy.

Walk into the office knowing who you are, be honest.

They are for you, use them to let your emotions out.

Breathe.

Hugs

It was a guy so when I first heard it was, I got nervous but he was actually easy to speak to. I went over stuff like my wanting to go to my sisters slumber parties as a little kid to do girly stuff but if the boys were playing football, I could care less. I spoke over this stuff from my childhood. I spoke how Id get dressed up in dresses all the time and want to look like a girl in front of my sister and be pretty. I never thought for a second back then that other boys are not dressing up. I spoke on stuff like this. He said I was showing def signs of having gender issues. He said the slumber parties and dressing up was not wrong and just me trying fit in with what made me comfortable. It was interesting seeing this therapist and finally saying this stuff face to face with someone! :)

It still amazes me how actually speaking the words to someone, actually hearing them with your ears and not your head, makes them much more powerful and meaningful
