Does anyone have any experience with using this product? I've just hit my 8 months on T marker ( I think ) and I'm quite disappointed in my facial hair growth. My chin, sideburns and moustache have gotten thicker and darker, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. I was looking through another ftm's blog and the guy had a beard like Jesus! I was confused as to how he managed it in such little time (I know some guys are better with hair growth) and it turns out he uses Minoxidil. I was excited as hell and went searching for the product, only to find that the more I read, the more negative side effects I come across and people warning me against it. It really is my last resort and I don't plan on looking further into it until I've tried all the natural alternatives I can get my hands on.

But I just want to know if anyone has experience using it and if you need to use Minoxidil forever if you start? And also, is it true that if you stop using it, your hair loss becomes worse than before you started? Or do you just lose the hair that was grown by the product?

Thanks

Hi mate not sure if this will help u or whether it helps with beard growth. Try biotin I use it promotes hair growth and nail growth. Like I said not sure about beard growth but maybe worth a shot .
U can get from health food stores or vitamins stores .
Hope it helps

im sorry to say this, but it may be a while before you get any significant hair growth, from what i know for alot of people it takes years to develop a full set of facial hair, both on T and cisgendered people.
I am rehearsing for a role, and the role is my life.

wheat thins are delicious

8 months is really nothing when you think about how long puberty takes in cis males.  They generally start puberty around 12/13 and most can't grow anything worth keeping until their early 20's or later.  Even after the main part of puberty is over your body continues to grow and change and your facial hair will continue to change and improve in growing ability.  So yeah, try not to be too disappointed, just remember it's not a race, and that genetics play a role in how well and how fast your facial hair will grow.

If the guy you are talking about is loadingoliver, it's not all minoxidil, he's been on T for 3 and a half years, so there's that.  Then there's the fact that you don't really know how much of the hair growth these guys get is actually from the minoxidil and how much is what was going to grow anyway (meaning minoxidil didn't really make a difference, but they thought it did because they were using it).

I guess it hasn't been that long! Thanks for the info guys, I guess i was comparing it to how hairy my brothers are. That and I was naturally pretty hairy myself even before T, after seeing other transitions who had similar hair growth to me pre T I assumed it would start speeding up around a certain time frame. I don't know who loadingoliver is but just looked him up and wow lol he's transitioned beautifully! It's comforting to see that he had decent hair growth after a couple years ^^ I'll wait it out as I don't want to resort to something that'll stop if I happen to forget to do it. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Took him two years to get a beard like that, he only had just sporadic facial hair in his one year pictures.

His sporadic facial hair looks like regular, slightly overgrown stubble to me, which isn't bad at all :o my chin/neck and stache are ok, sideburns are thicker than they have ever been and there's visible hair along my jaw. It's just those bits that need a little...encouragement. I'll probably stick to my regular work out and try some biotin + natural oils to see if it helps at all. I know castor oil has worked wonders on my eyelashes so maybe it'll help with the facial hair too.
