Notice I didnt say beauty. I was wondering how non binary people define looks.

A biological condition or state which promotes the most favorable cues of fitness in reproduction. AKA a slave to your genes.

physical attractiveness would be more health, grooming, and self esteem based, from the non-binary people i know.

so i would say being healthy, groomed, and with good self-esteem in your presentation. the yardstick being your potential of the three. a person being less attractive if they refuse to try and be healthy, don't groom, and have low self esteem. low self-esteem leading to more frowning, crumpled posture, and wrinkles from stern faces. poor health including exercise, eating right, taking vitamin supplements. grooming including brushing hair, teeth, wearing deodorant, washing body, and wearing sun protection. more physically attractive if they have more of all three, up to their potential.

Ouch, that is depressing - accurate but depressing.  I really hope that poise, attentiveness and a smile fit into the mix somehow too.  Otherwise I am at a bit of a loss to explain why I have friends, colleagues, and even people on the street a who enjoy my company and are willing to engage me in conversation, and even a bit of flirtatiousness.  I'm certainly not the reproductive model of feminine beauty, but I seem to be attractive enough to both men and women nevertheless. :)

You had me until there, as others still define it as the ones with the best tan. Most of these things are culturally, and time dependent, what's considered attractive in one culture is unattractive in others.

Self esteem I agree with, and it is probably more important than anything else really, I know women that are fat and/or ugly and act like they are the prettiest girl in the world, and pretty much get treated as such, and women that are better than average looking, but with low self esteem, and get treated as though they are ugly.

It mostly a chemical reaction in the brain to physical traits, chemistry of common ground and if the person is obtainable to them, but we all know a guy can have this with a lamp if his horny enough.

Its a beauty test but... Well a lot of the law of attraction is in the face to.

So fat lips and a small nose make you beautiful?  Good news for me.  lol

The skin damage caused by tanning isn't attractive. I've been in two cultures where many people try to whiten their skin as a sign of physical attractiveness. Philippines and Japan.

Darker skinned people want lighter skin, light skinned people want darker skin. It is funny, but there's still all sorts of light skinned people tanning on any beach, whether you think it's attractive or not, some people do, and they do so because they think it makes them more attractive.

I think that a tan serves as a proxy for healthy and reproductively available, but only in a subset of European cultures where vitamin D is at a premium.  With a tan, your bones will likely be strong, and you can carry/provide for many children.  I really don't remember where I read that, but It made sense to me and I still remember it (so it must be true ;) )

I think literally everyone has different views on what is or isn't attractive. So just do you and im sure someone will think you are attractive.

i still think protected and moisturized natural skin is seen as more beautiful to non-binary than skin damaged, dry skin, and altered color skin. I don't see as much tanning going on. There isn't a lot of pictures showing tans. There might be some, but not as popular as MTF, i think.

most of the people idealized by non-binary are pretty natural preserving their own skin color and youthful elasticity.
