So I was out and about one day, and had to go potty. McD's was nearby, WalMart was the other choice; decided to go to McD's because theirs are cleaner.
Walked down a 'gauntlet' of men sitting at several tables; they didn't say anything but as I approached, I could see they were peeking at me from under their damnable bushy eyebrows...
Got in, did my business and...a lady walks in. She heads to the stall next to me, commenting to herself about how it's raining. Once she was inside, I came out (yes, I'm bashful LOL) and she said, "Damn! There's no tissues in here!"
I paused. I thought,
"OMG! Whatever I did, I'd have to speak! OMG OMG..." (This was to be my first 'public speaking' experience)
I could hear her fumbling with the toilet paper roll...I wondered if she was doing a "little job" or a "big" one...? Either way, she'd need paper. I decided to speak.
"I have some tissue here" I said...and realized it wasn't
en femme.
I heard, "What!?" from the stall.
Think fast, think fast....I remembered the voice coach telling me to "visualize the sound you want (G sharp, in my case), once you have it in your mind, your voice will follow." I quickly adjusted my voice-sector, and..."I have some here...would you like some?"
"Stupid!", I thought..
.of course she does! But from her stall came a friendly, "Oh! Sure, please!"
I gave her some, being sure to discretely show my engagement ring (ruby, tyvm

) and she thanked me.
Awesome. Voice matters!
