I just read the posts here, thank you for the additional information regarding this. When you guys mention Finasteride affecting DHT therefore masculinization; what aspects of it are you referring to?  I get the facial hair but it affects muscle development and fat redistribution as well? Or everything overall?
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

I was also wondering something else regarding Rogaine.  Is the pill form just as effective as the topical?  With the topical it says to apply to the affected areas but my problem is that I don't have (or at least don't see it) a clear 'pattern' of hair loss but it's just an overall thing...So even though I cannot prove it I am now thinking that my hair loss is from depression.

So that's why I was thinking of going with the oral if I need to restart T.

Saw palmetto to has been shown to suppress the dht, the trouble being you have to have pure, fresh, certified herb. I've heard of it in shampoos as well. If mine doesn't go past the male pattern I now have, I'm fine with it. I do Not want to mess up my levels with anything at this point. Lol

I was prescribed the Ketaconazole shampoo and have been using it for months but I didn't notice anything for the better. I am almost positive it's depression. I restarted T again because of the bloody mess coming back and it made me very furious.

I can't remember where I got this information--maybe from my doctor or maybe from a hair loss site or something. But I have heard/read that Rogaine is really only good for certain types of balding, mainly hair loss at the crown of the head ("tonsure" balding) rather than a continually receding hairline. You might want to do some research to verify or disprove this information. I guess I didn't follow up myself because Rogaine is dangerous for cats, so I wasn't going to use it anyway. (At the time, I had a big bruiser of a cat whose favorite greeting was a vigorous head-stropping, and I wasn't going to give that up for nothin'.)

ketocozanole is an antifungal. Not sure why you would be prescribed that for hair loss/thinning. Unless I missed something in your previous posts as to why you are using that, ketocozanole won't help

Stress has a hormone of its own plus others.  I think you may need to check the hormone related to cortisol?  I wish I had time to look it up.  But this or there is a hormone related, I read about a couple years back that excess in the body can cause hair loss.  Def not dht but I swear it's cortisol or such.  Hope this helps..  maybe a low dose of xanax to relieve the stress, and the hair may come back..

You have a good point with cortisol and when I just learned about it earlier this year I immediately got it checked. To my surprise, it was in the NORMAL RANGE! But maybe, the next time I get my blood work I should get it checked again?

I am against these meds (due to my body's sensitivity)but will taking Xanax or any anti depressants even help if I were to take it at night time because I don't want to feel the side effects during the day.
